The expenses are definitely required - i probably did more renewals and visas than you but that was borne by my H sponsor employers in all cases. Why did you pay on your own ?? Generally peoples who gets paid in Bill rate and make very good money they pay on their own and they don't care 20-25K given the enormous money that they made in 6+ years of H clock.
Regarding GC - my employer paid LC fees, 140 fees and i picked up the fees for 485/EAD/AP because i wanted control on the AOS. I dont want RFE letters to go my employer or their pet lawyer when i've ported off to somewhere else.
Push your employer - why they are called sponsors in H1 based immigration system ?

My I140 is approved, 180 days complete and looking to change jobs in May/June.
I have another 2 months with the present client. I want to Use AC21 but not inform USCIS. Does filing G28 and changing lawyer trigger a notice to my present company lawyer?

what about the people who are beyond their 6 year H1B term -extending it every year. The USCIS website does not provide any indication for those.

If what you are saying constitutes a fraud, isnt filing the PERM the first step of the fraud and thats already committed -

If the underlying I-140 for your 485 is from company A, then it's a different story. I think then you are OK. Are you sure that CIS accepted the old I-140 as the basis for your 485?
But like everyone else here said, please check with your attorney. AC-21 is confusing as it is and the compliactions in your situation do not make it easy.
Also be ready for RFEs.
I do have copy of approved I-140 from company A and asked for the old priority dates on Old I-140 when applied for new I-140. Not sure if it matters

I understand that IV needs the money to get things done. But money is not the only thing IV needs. It needs people to volunteer, make calls, meet lawmakers, participate in rallys, general conference calls and start motivating campaigns like the one availing FOIA. If money contributions are the only way for people to be up-to-date about status of IV activities, then what about the people who contribute in other forms?

If I work on EAD and do not get the EAD card before it gets expires, do I need to inform my employer about the status. If I inform them they will be removing my name from the payroll and it will be hard to include it again. It is like my job getting terminated.

As per my attorney, even if you enter the country on AP, your status can still remain H1, if you are using it to work (instead of EAD).

I485 gets processed in the order of 485 RD. If cut-off dates are 'current' PD does not matter. However, if the dates are retrogressed, visa numbers would be allocated for all pre-adjucated (screening, security checks etc are completed) in the order of Priority Date so PD does matter and in fact cut-off dates would be determined based on available visas and number of pre-adjucated (already filed) cases.

Personaly I've never lost any quality doing that.. but then again, I sometimes have smoothing turned off and sometimes on. I think that relates to how imported images look in the final production.

...of LC cases, by PD and category. Goes to show how scary the situation is without increase of visa numbers....just I-485 is a good first step, but there is a looooong way to go.

Yesterday after a long time I was reading the Labor cert section on immigrationportal.com. I havent felt the need to read that section since my LC was approved in October 2005.
I was amazed at the number of EB3 cases being approved with PD's in 01 and 02 as well as EB2 cases in 02 and 03.
No doubt dates arent moving. More and more ppl are choking the pipeline. We are screwed if numbers arent increased.
