Just curious.
Who played what role in the reversal of USCIS/DOS decision?
Did IV core / AILA / Congresswoman Lofgren worked together in the back ground? Flower campaign / SJ rally / media - newspaper articles ?
May be all of the above had its unique impact on USCIS's decision to accept I-485?
Below article is just one example. There are many like this which mention about IV. IV hired a lobbying firm and work with different people for lobbying efforts. But the whole effort was lead by IV.

Dear All,
I got a labor substitution and filed for my I-140 and I-485 concurrently. Today was the last day to send the documents and some paperwork was missing for my wife! I missed sending the package!
Now how should i proceed?? My wife is on H1-B currently. Any ideas??
My priority date is 25 jan 05 - eb2.

Presently I am on H1B visa status, valid till March 2009. My PD is of June 2005 and I-140 was done in 2005 also, presently trapped in retrogression.
I have a great offer from a big oil company. After my possible joining to them with H1B transfer, they are willing to start my labor also. In such a case, I want my new labor to be filed ASAP, as my son will be 21 years old in march 2008.
In a case I join this new company in middle of August, when do you think my labor could be filed....I heard there is some two months advertising involved before filing in PERM.

Advertising requires just one month period. Depending on how much advertising has been done before for the same job. You could typically file for PERM easily by mid september if not sooner.

Guys, is there any way to expedite her EAD to be approved soon? The available solutions you have include:

2. After 60 days of filing your EAD, take an Infopass appointment and request an expedite process of your wife's H1 stating financial hardships, job loss etc.

Hi friends,
Since the h1b quota for year 2009 is not exhausted, can one(company) file the h1b visa right away or do we need to wait for April 2010?
One of my friends is interested in coming to the US. The consulting company to whom he applied said that they could only apply for the H1B visa in April 2010.

Yes, absolutely!
3. Does premium processing available if another I-140 is already pending based on my LC Sub?
No, you cannot file another I-140 in PPS when another is already pending as per USCIS premium processing conditions.

All i know is that as of yesterday there were only 18000 applications for Masters quota.
Why did not they get filled as fast as the Regular quota?
This is the reasoning my lawyer gave....
"Most of the applicants for Master's quota were in confusion after April 3 after reading several bulletins about 200,000 or so H1-B applications. And some people didn't even apply thinking that the USCIS may have received more than enough master's quota applications even though the bulletin said that they were accepting more applications for Master's quota."
I know of people who have submitted fresh H1-B applications under master's quota as late as April 7th.
So guys, wait for the official numbers. Don't believe me. But do compare when the official news is released.
I am surprised by the slow pace of Master's applications.

I don't think there is any site in this world which can give US visa status after the interview.
Interviews are conducted by govt officials and not just other websites, but the consulate offices are also not maintaining any sites to track the status. I am 99% confident about this.;)
